Vision - David Wilkerson for POTUS - 2020

David Wilkerson for POTUS - 2020

I believe this country has come a long way from where it used to be. We have achieved so much in the past five decades, but I think there needs to be a lot more change for us to truly be on the right path. Some of it may be painful and some of it may not, but we definitely need change, and not the hollow promises of change that Barack Obama gave to the nation. I will point out some key points in my vision of where we can be in the future and we CAN get there with the proper changes. These changes will have to cover many different areas, including thought process, one parent households (or dead-beat parents), proper education of our young people, proper raising of our young people, including manners and respect for themselves, as well as respect for others, and many other areas.

The following is just a short list of my vision for the future.

  • Reduce the size of the government, institute term limits on senators and representatives and get the government out of every aspect of our lives. Along with that, we need to give our media establishments some guidelines to force them to return to the codes and ethics they were built on. FACTS instead of opinions and speculation. We have so many people, that due to their fame, their job or financial status, that have a platform to address a majority of the nation at a time, and they are actually suffering from ultracrepidarianism.
  •
  • Secure our borders to prevent illegal immigration, as well as to ensure the security of our people and nation. Then get rid of the illegals, especially the criminal illegal immigrants and look at giving the productive ones a path to citizenship. That means if you have been accepting welfare of any sort from our socialist policies then you will not be given a path to citizenship.
  •
  • Quit giving the taxpayer money away to all these other countries. It is not our responsibility to take care of the world until we take care of our own people. We have veterans that need help, we have homeless people all over the nation and many other things those billions of dollars can do to help our nation.
  •
  • Federal elections should be under federal control, not the states. We need voter ID laws. Mexico even has voter ID laws. Before you say that is due to rampant voter fraud and we don’t have that here, I think it will be a preemptive strike to prevent anything like that to occur. Why not act before it happens instead of waiting for a problem to arise and then having to act quickly for a solution? Plus, there has been a lot of talk about dead people casting votes, receiving more votes in a specific area than there are people and other types of voter fraud. Absentee voting also needs to be revamped.
  •
  • Get everyone out of the welfare system that is able-bodied. There is no reason to sit on your butts collecting a check from the hard-earned money of other people. If you are disabled or elderly, then yes that is understandable, but we must stop the cycle. We are promoting laziness, teen pregnancy and single parent homes. You should not be rewarded for having children out of wedlock or not identifying the father of your children. It takes two people to make a baby and both parties should be held responsible for the care and upbringing of that child.
  •
  • Build our military up to properly protect our nation, fix our infrastructure (i.e. roads, bridges, electrical grids, water systems, etc.), push for renewable energy (fossil fuels won’t last forever), bring manufacturing back to the states. Along with manufacturing, we need to push for people to learn trades and technology. There is a good future for people learning trades and we have so many people from out of this country working here in the tech fields because we are so short-handed. It is only going to get worse as technology advances!
  •
  • Stop the nonsense with 64 different genders, or whatever it is now, and help the people with mental disorders instead of promoting them! We have kids eating Tide Pods and these are the future leaders of our country. Apparently, we aren’t teaching them the simple things and failing them on instilling common sense.
  •
  • Stop ignoring the terrorism and extremism coming from the religion of Islam. Some people take it literally and are using it to punish anyone that doesn’t believe the same faith and religion as them. I have read a lot of the Quran and it is not the religion of peace that some people says it is. Quit taking God out of everything! I am not saying you must believe in the same God that I do, but this country was founded to escape religious persecution and here we are allowing it to occur all over again.
  •
  • Stop allowing people with “hurt feelings” from perverting the rights guaranteed to us in the US Constitution. We are allowing them to shut down our freedom of speech because they don’t agree with it. Other people want to take away our second amendment rights to bear arms and defend ourselves because they either don’t like them or they think if you outlaw them, then no one will have one. That doesn’t even make sense. If that that logic was true, then no one would commit crimes because they are outlawed. If you disarm the people, the only ones with guns will be criminals and the government, and that was the main reasons behind the 2nd amendment.
  •
  • Fix our education system! We need to give EVERYONE the same opportunities, no matter where you live or your social status or your background or any other reason. We need to understand that people don’t learn the same, but with identifying the way they do learn, we can reach every child in the nation. Our young people need to understand that their education is the most important priority for them growing up. Yes, going to school is good for learning social skills and other things, but keeping their minds on the priority is important. Getting a proper education affects the rest of their lives, and without that we won’t stop the cycle occurring in the inner cities.
  •
  • There are many other topics that are important, and some may be more important than the ones listed above, but I think you get where I stand. I don’t want to get rich or powerful, I just want to turn this country back onto the right path for all citizens and bring our country back to the top of the list in all areas that are beneficial to us as a people and a nation.
